Fruit Cake by Betty Larsen


1 pound dates
1 cup marachino cherries, drained
3 cups walnuts or pecans
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
4 eggs, beaten


Put the fruit into a large bowl. Combine the dry ingredients and sift over the fruit. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Mix by hand. Put into greased large loaf pan or 3 small loaf pans. Bake at 275° for 2 ½ hours.

Pizza Dip by Barbara Webster

3/4 cup mayo
1 cup shredded swiss cheese
2/3 cup chopped olives
1/2 cup diced bell pepper( orange or yellow)
1/2 cup onion diced
1 tomato diced
Mix together and bake 15 mins at 350 don’t brown or overbake.
Serve with tostidos or scoops

Shrimp Dip Recipe

1 can tiny shrimp, drained. Reserve 1 Tbsp juice
1 8oz block cream cheese, softened
3 scallions, finely sliced
2 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Pinch salt, to taste

Thoroughly combine all ingredients except shrimp. Gently fold in shrimp. Chill for at least two hours. Serve with crackers, baguette, or vegetables.
