Our meeting topic will be Favorite iPhone & iPad Apps. We are asking you to do a short demo of your favorite iPhone or iPad program. Several Board members will start the demo and then it’s your turn. If you would like to take part, we are asking you to respond to us at: admin@smug1.com and let us know what short  demo you can do.

All SMUG members are welcome to attend the monthly meeting of the Midland Club (MIAMUG). This month the topic will be a Buyer’s Guide for all your Mac purchasing plans. Several board members will present buying information for laptops, desktops and iOS devices.

The meeting will take place at the Wheeler Road Church of Christ in Midland from 9:30 am to 12 noon on Saturday, June 11, 2011.

Tuesday, June 7, 2011 from 7-9 pm at the Wheeler Road Church of Christ in Midland will be the first meeting of the to-be-newly-formed Special Interest Group. The plan is to meet monthly on the first Tuesday. Any member of SMUG or MIAMUG are welcome. Please come to the initial meeting if you have any interest in web design.

The next DISIG meeting is a street walk on Main Street in Midland. We meet under the Putman Bridge (East end) at 10:00AM. We will then proceed Westward to the Courthouse taking pictures of what ever we fancy. We will be examining our work probably in July or August. Non MIAMUG and SMUG members are welcome to join us.

Saturday, May 14, 2011 (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM) is our combined MacCamp meeting at the Wheeler Road Church of Christ in Midland. All SMUG members are welcome. Lunch will be provided!

Lee Pavlik will take a few minutes to talk a little bit about how MacCamps work, followed by a Q&A session designed to get everybody into discussion/work groups. Lunch will be provided by the Midland club–we’ll be having pulled BBQ pork sandwiches from Bone Daddy’s Barbeque.

Saturday, May 21, 2011 (9:30 AM to noon) is the next Digital Imaging SIG meeting at the Wheeler Road Church of Christ in Midland. All SMUG members are welcome.

We will continue the discussion on the future of DISIG. Please be prepared to offer opinions and solutions. Doug Leng will have the minutes from the March MIAMUG discussion. It is important for everyone to evaluate their individual commitment to the future of DISIG.

Saturday, April 9, 2011 (9:30 AM to noon) is the next MIAMUG meeting at the Wheeler Road Church of Christ in Midland. All SMUG members are welcome.

This month, various people will be presenting their favorite iPhone/iPad apps.  We’ll be using the new document projector to present all these apps.

Come to our April meeting on Wednesday, April 13th and learn how to convert your old home movies to digital copies.

The doors open at 6:00pm for one-on-one help with our Mac Gurus and the main meeting begins at 7:00pm!

Our next SMUG meeting is March 9th. Doors open at 6 pm for extra help and the meeting begins at 7.
