Thursday, June 10, 2010 Our June 2010 meeting is on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at STFD #1 on Shattuck Road. The meeting begins at 7pm but the doors open at 6pm for tech help.
Randy Walker will be presenting “Mac 911: What To Do When Something’s Not Working“, a fun-filled talk on how to keep your computer in tip-top shape!

As members were informed via email, SMUG members are now invited to regular MIAMUG meetings in Midland until the end of this calendar year as an effort to increase cooperation and sharing of resources between our two groups. Therefore, the next regular MIAMUG meeting will take place as follows:

We will start at 9:30 in the lobby of Dow Gardens to take pictures in the Rose Garden. A membership card is required and is available at the front desk for a nominal fee. If obvious rain then go to the Wheeler Road Church of Christ. We will send out a confirmation message before the outing.

At the June iLife SIG meeting it was decided to cancel July and August meetings. We will resume meeting September 7th at the Rehemman Group Office Building in Saginaw at the usual 7pm time. Michael Marve and Nancy Pavlik will present their iMovie projects – a wedding montage and graduation montage, respectively, for review.

Bring everything you can carry so we all look like photographers. If obvious rain then go to the Wheeler Road Church of Christ where we will discuss general photography topics. This month it’s time for another MacCamp on Saturday, May 8th! This MacCamp will replace our regular evening meeting for this month. With summer just around the corner, we will be serving up a BBQ for lunch that day. We will be seeing brief presentations on both the iPad and Spotlight at the beginning of the day before splitting off into casual groups.
MacCamp will start at 10:00 am and continue until 4:00 pm. The location will be at the Wheeler Road Church of Christ in Midland.

The next meeting of the iLife SIG will take place on Tuesday, April 6th at 7pm at the Wheeler Road Church of Christ. Please bring your computer with 3 or 4 video clips that require editing. If possible, please have them captured into your iMovie Library and a new project started. We will cover different methods of trimming clips so they “fit” into one project timeline.
We will also cover one or two SHORT “Improve Your Camera Techniques” at each meeting so that future video shot will be improved.
