The DISIG group will meet at the church at 9:30 am and will then carpool to the Detroit International Autoshow in COBO Hall for a photo shoot.
On Saturday, February 18, 2012, our SMUG meeting will be a full-day MacCamp. This MacCamp will take place at STFS #1 on Shattuck Road, our regular meeting location. The MacCamp will start at 10:00 AM and continue until 4:00 PM.
On Wednesday, March 14, 2012 we will have a regular SMUG meeting. At this meeting, Mike Lang will be demonstrating the features of Family Tree Maker for the Mac. He’ll discuss how it works with Ancestry.com and the iPad app. Mike will discuss the main features of Family Tree Maker for the Mac2 and might even pay for the upgrade. Mike will also probably show a few of the books he’s bought on the subject.
We continue to meet at STFS #1 on Shattuck Road. (Please park in the west lot). The doors open at 6:00 pm for members needing a bit of help. We try to begin the meeting at 7:00 pm. Remember to bring your questions (and answers) for the Q & A portion of the meeting.
On Wednesday, April 11, 2012 meeting, Jerry Brasseur will present iDatabase for the Mac and iPhone. This is a database manager from Apimac. IDatabase offers an easy way to organize and catalog information and data. With iDatabase for Mac and iPhone, you can manage membership lists, expenses, projects, keep track of your internet accounts and much more. You can choose from ready-to-use and easy-to-personlize database templates to organize any type of information or you can create a totally new database from scratch.
The May 2012 SMUG meeting will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2012. This meeting will be an all-day MacCamp which will be hosted by the Midland Group. This MacCamp will take place at the Wheeler Road Church of Christ in Midland. The MacCamp will start at 10:00 AM and continue until 4:00 PM
It’s time for our first SMUG meeting of 2012. Here’s what’s planned for Wednesday, January 11, 2012.
Our meeting topic is: Your Mac Ships With… We’ll review the applications you find on your Mac when you unpack that beautiful box. We’re talking about Text Edit, iCal, Address Book, etc. etc. etc.

No meeting this month. Announcement will be made early in January.
Our next meeting will be at the MacCamp in Midland. This MacCamp is being hosted by the Midland group. The meeting will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Wheeler Road Church of Christ in Midland from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The all-day meeting this Saturday will begin at 10 am with a Q&A session, followed by our usual one-on-one workshop. Bring all your problems, questions, and answers. Food will be served.
This meeting will take place at the Wheeler Road Church of Christ in Midland on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 9:30 AM to Noon.
The program will focus on editing. Doug will lead off with a demonstration of iPhoto 9, after which Ron Browne will show editing with Photoshop CS 5.
